You must be 21 years of age to order and/or receive wine from FineWineCollector.com. By placing your order, you are warranting to us that you are at least 21 years of age. Shipments require an adult signature. Proof of age will be verified by the delivery carrier.

We can ship directly to most states. However, if our web site is unable to process your order, please telephone us at 619-231-WINE (9463). We may be able to recommend a third party who can assist you in shipping or receiving your wine.

Unfortunately, we cannot ship wine to a PO Box.

We currently ship exclusively via Federal Express (ground and air).

We offer five shipping options:

  • Ground Service – 2–5 business days
Recommended for the West Coast most of the year and throughout the U.S. when temperatures at both ends are between 50 – 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • 2nd Day Air – 2 business days
Recommended for most of the U.S., most of the year.

  • Next Day Air – Overnight delivery
Offered for your convenience and during hot weather.

  • Pick Up – At our San Diego warehouse
We will hold your wine at no charge for up to four months for pickup (by appointment)

  • Hold – Offered as a courtesy during the warm months
We will store your wine at no charge for up to four months when the weather is too hot to safely ship fine wine, and then ship to you when weather permits.
Our shipping prices include the packaging,

We strongly believe that our fine wine should be shipped fully insured (against loss or breakage). Therefore, insurance (1% of purchase price) is included as the default setting. You may uncheck the insurance acceptance box, if you choose.

Shipping is not a profit center for FineWineCollector. It is a service that we provide to you. When our shipping prices change, rest assured that it is only an adjustment to attempt to re-attain breakeven.

International duties/taxes are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Call 619-231-WINE (9463) for additional information.

All wines are sold in the County of San Diego, and title passes to the Buyer in California. The Buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wine. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your wine to you. Shipping costs, insurance and taxes are the responsibility of the Buyer. We make no representation as to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of California or any country outside of the United States.

Most orders are shipped on Monday or Wednesday (unless specifically directed otherwise). In this way, we avoid your fine wine sitting in a FedEx warehouse over the weekend.

We strongly advise you not to ship your wine during the warmest months (definitely not when it is over 85 degrees at either end). If you insist, then shipping via Overnight with a morning delivery is highly recommended. However, you can purchase from FineWineCollector.com with confidence year round. We will gladly store your wine temperature controlled at no charge for up to four months, and then ship your wine when weather permits. When ordering online, just select HOLD as your method of shipping.
